A water‑wise lens for national climate planning

The Water Resilience Tracker helps countries reframe water as the source of climate solutions. This companion gives planners brief explanations, real‑world examples, and resources for every question in the self‑assessment.

Why a tracker for water

Most national climate plans recognise the role of water, yet few look at it systematically as an enabler of resilience.

Climate mitigation and adaptation alike call for a more intensive, water‑wise approach — one that treats water as a resource carrying real uncertainty. The Tracker uses a questionnaire and this companion to support countries through the many interrelated aspects of that self‑assessment.
